description

Very stable engine mounts with double bushings per side to handle these heavy duty engines with lots of torque.
The mounts are made with several longitudinal holes to easily adjust how close the engine comes to the torpedo wall/front carriage beam and to still be able to easily disassemble and assemble the engine in exactly the same position as before.

You need a custom oil pan. We have chosen to start from an oil pan that Summit Racing sells, item no. SUM-G3610.
There are also copies to be found on e.g. Ebay (see scaled image).
This oil pan is very low but still has a good oil volume.
Because it is so low, we have been able to lower the engine to a good height. It is also affordable.

You need to remove the front beam to make room for the oil pan (see picture), alternatively modify the oil pan or put the engine so far back that you need to remove the gearbox tunnel.
We sell a ready plate for this purpose AS -001019-02.
The depth depends on where in the brackets you put the motor.
The picture shows roughly the deepest you may have to cut out.

If you use a pickup engine, e.g. LM7, you can only use the high intake if you have a “beak-hood”.
Otherwise, you can take intake from any car with a V8, e.g. from Corvette or a pure custom intake.

The steering column ends up near the exhaust ports on the driver’s side. If you want to drive without a turbo, slim headers are needed.
For example. cast which are available from slightly different manufacturers. In the case of turbo conversion, you usually pull the pipes forward instead, and then there is no problem.

Bolt on gearbox beam for GM’s gearboxes can be found here AS-002008-01

NEW! All our motor mounts can now be upgraded with polyurethane bushings in different hardnesses.

Now you can adapt your engine mounts to how you use the car.

Softer bushings for street and smaller/lighter engines and harder bushings for track/heavier engines.
