Bolt on gearbox beam for BMW 5 and 6 speed gearboxes from both ZF and Getrag to Volvo 200 series.
Slimmed to the floor to create good space for exhaust pipes.
This gearbox beam fits bolt on in the Volvo 200 series and can be attached in several places longitudinally and therefore fits most variants of the usual 5-speed ZF and Getrag gearboxes from BMW that are found in many models from the beginning of the -90s and into -00.
See image example and scaled photo.
Complete with this bracket AS-002004-10 for the gearbox, the later of BMW’s 6-speed ZF gearboxes with loose mounts from -00 to the beginning of the -10s also fit (see example gearboxes and measured mounting in the pictures)
Also fits the BMW DCT gearbox GS7D36SG if you supplement with this bracket AS-002004-11.
Examples of gearboxes with fixed rear attachment that fit:
S5D-250G
S5D-260Z
S5D-310Z
S5D-320Z
GS5-39DZ
S6S-420G
Examples of gearboxes that fit where you need to supplement with a rear loose attachment on the gearbox:
GS6-37DZ or -BZ
GS6-53DZ or -BZ
GS7D36SG
ATTENTION!
– The larger gearboxes usually require that you cut away some spills in the gearbox and also that you knock out space in the gearbox tunnel.
– There are different inclinations on BMW’s petrol engines and diesel engines. But you can e.g. don’t put a diesel gearbox on an M50 even if they fit together because the gearbox will then tilt 10 degrees if you don’t re-weld it.
-Always check that the cardan runs in a straight line against the support bearing after assembly. Otherwise, the hard disk may wear out prematurely.
-If the gearbox used is modified with a new sweep that is welded, this must be well done and with the correct slope for it to fit perfectly.
Rubber buffer as a spare part you can find here.
Now we have also produced a safety ring for the cardan shaft that fits bolt on to this gearbox beam AS-002010-01
